The God Who Sees

Many times in life, we may feel that God is absent. It sometimes seems that he is not helping when we think  needs to. Well, I’m here to tell you that that is not the case. In fact, these “trials” are just the mountain we must climb in order to see the mountain-top view God has in store for you. God is constantly taking care of you. Even in trouble, he is looking out for you.

Now I know personally that I know this is true but sometimes its hard to see. So, when it feels inapplicable, I turn to scripture. There are so many great examples of how God cares for his people. A few that I love are Hagar’s as well as Joseph’s story.

As I was reading through my devotional this week, they made a point about how God blesses those who are faithful. Hagar is a perfect example of this. In Genesis 16, the Angel of the Lord tells Hagar, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her… I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.” This is a prime example of God’s blessings unto his people when they are faithful. Hagar trusted God’s plan for her and in turn, God provided her with more than she could ask for!

Another person whom God blessed for their faithfulness was Joseph. His life was most definitely a picture of faithfulness. Even through being sold into slavery, put into jail, and so much more, he STILL remained faithful. And God didn’t let that go unnoticed. God eventually made him Ruler of Egypt!

These stories and many more are great pictures of how faithfulness can allow for God to bless you. When you trust in God and let him guide you along the path HE has planned for you, he will give you more than you could ask for.
